Tendulkar selected as Mumbai Indians Captain in 2013 IPL 6


Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar to be returned as the Mumbai Indians captain for the 6th edition of the Indian Premier League 2013 (2013 IPL) beginning on April 3, 2013.

According to IPL (Indian Premier League) sources, Sachin Tendulkar will take over from IPL 5 Mumbai Indians Captain Harbhajan Singh.

Master Tendulkar, who has been the captain and the face of Mumbai Indians for all the five IPL editions, relinquished the role last IPL season as he wanted to concentrate on his batting.

In IPL 5 Mumbai Indians Captain Harbhajan Singh successfully in the T20 Cricket League but couldn't take Mumbai Indian (MI) to their elusive IPL victory.

In Indian Premier League fifth edition (IPL 2012), under Harbhajan, Mumbai Indians made it to the knockouts where they lost to Chennai Super Kings in the Eliminator.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar, who had recently retired from the International  ODIs, would ideally like to win the 2013 Indian Premier League(2013 IPL) Trophy having achieved almost all the other major milestones including World Cup, No 1 ranking in Test matches and 100 international hundreds.
