Sky Sports bags Pepsi IPL rights

The IPL Governing Council met in Bengaluru, on Thursday, 13 February 2014.

British Sky Broadcasting Ltd. has been awarded the telecast, internet and mobile rights for the 2015, 2016 and 2017 seasons of the Pepsi IPL (Indian Premier League), for the United Kingdom, the Republic of Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Channel Islands, and the European territories.

Barney Francis, managing director of Sky Sports, said: “It’s the cricket competition that everyone is talking about and from next year, only on Sky Sports can viewers follow the IPL live.  Sky Sports’ cricket coverage has never been stronger, offering something for everyone including all the major Test playing nations and all the best players.  We can’t wait.”
