We do realise as Indians the terrible human rights violations ,that happened when the Sri lankan forces battled late ,there are numerous documentaries providing graphic images of civilians targeted.
The issue is sensitive enough to have shaken even the central Govt. with DMK withdraws support.
Jayalalitha has refused to allow Sri lankan players to play in Tamilnadu during the tournament and asked the organisers to give an undertaking that no players from Sri lanka or umpires will be allowed to participate in the tournament as a precondition to allow the tournament to be held as per schedule.
As an IPL lover I feel its sad,on the other hand I do understand the sensitivity and concerns of the Tamils.
The question arises shouldn't we go after Rajapaksha, the main person responsible, and make sure he pays the price rather than going after players who are civilians like us having no part in these decisions.
Rather than targeting the criminal doing symbolic things to appease the voters is that justified?
I leave you to make your decisions ........
